Wood Products Membership
For your product to qualify under this category the majority of it needs to be made from Dorset wood. This includes products like hurdles, charcoal, furniture, besoms, walking sticks, working sticks and bowls. The Direct from Dorset criteria for wood products are as follows:
The wood and any other components must originate from Dorset, however the product may still be eligible if the majority of its ingredients originate within Dorset providing the remainder cannot be grown or made within the County. The products must comply with all relevant trading standards and consumer protection legislation. Any processing that has been undertaken must have taken place in Dorset.
What's the next step?
If you would like to apply either download an application form or give us a call and we’ll send you one. Once you’ve completed it return it to us at Direct from Dorset. The application will then be passed to Dorset Trading Standards to carry out checks to ensure the product fits the criteria. Once they are happy it will be passed to the Steering Group Membership Panel to be approved.
